About Where2Go4Books

Where2Go4Books.com is a textbook exchange website for students at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA.

Where2Go4Books.com was originally launched in 2004 by alumni of the Integrated Science and Technology department and IEEE Computer Society at JMU in partnership with local technology business Neosentials, Inc.
In Fall 2010, Neosentials decided to revive the website, again partnering with the JMU IEEE Club.

The website allows students to sell textbooks to other students with no fees, markup, or subscription costs. It's FREE! By "cutting out the middle man", Where2Go4Books.com makes textbooks more affordable for students contending with rising college costs in tough economic times.

When the website originally launched in 2004, the average new textbook cost $102 and the average used textbook cost $65 (according to Public Interest Research Groups), but the average cost of a book for sale on Where2Go4Books was only $32.92. We'll post the average price of a book for sale here once students start posting books again during the 2010-2011 relaunch!
