1. Be honest in your listing. Describe the book clearly in your listing so the buyer is not disappointed when they meet you to make the exchange. The buyer has the right to see and inspect a book before purchasing it. Once the buyer has paid the seller for the book and receives the book, the sale is final - no returns are to be expected.
2. Be careful when meeting to make the exchange. One way it costs less to buy a book on Where2Go4Books is that the transaction is done locally in person, so shipping costs are not incurred. We do our best to protect Where2Go4Books users, by doing things like requiring a JMU email address to register on the site. However, it is up to you to make good decisions. It's best to meet in a public place such as a dining hall during the day to exchange the book and payment.
3. Optional: Offer additional payment methods. If you have a smartphone, or make the exchange in the library where there are computers, you could offer to accept payment in a form other than cash by using an online system such as PayPal to complete the transaction. This offers an option for buyers that prefer not to carry cash. However, it's best for the buyer not to send payment until they have seen the book in person, and the seller should check their account to make sure payment has cleared before giving the book to the buyer.
